Day 6 (Year 1 End-Of-Semester Break)
Today was what I call a family day, but without my siblings. Spent the entire day following my parents around like a lost puppy. It's been a long time since I spent a Sunday with my parents but considering that I'm on my holiday now and it's been 3 days since I last had some home cooked food, I decided to stick to them like gum today. Woke up the moment I heard my dad talk to mom about me asking him to wake me up yesterday. I almost fell from my knee high bed. My blanket and bolster was scattered on the ground by then.
Immediately after I woke up, got my brother to help me book the bungalow for class chalet and borrowed credit card from mommy. After I finally finished with that, headed down to meet my parents whom are already waiting for me at the car. We headed to Bukit Batok Market where we bought a bit of groceries, mostly me telling mom what I want to eat. After we are done, headed to daddy's office and back home. Mom cooked lunch and we ate.
Moments later, headed down to the car park with daddy and the maid to wash daddy car. Fancy the fact that me and the maid were the only people without the driving licence and we were the one washing the car. Aftermath, came back home to bathe and head out again.
We headed to the temple that we always go to every week when I was younger. I don't go there every week anymore, but my parents still does. Did a bit of praying and headed to the Tau Sar Piah store next door. They have the best Tau Sar Piah and I love their Yam stuffed ones, they unfortunately were out of stock on that one.
Drove down all the way to Hougang just for Otahs (Molly's), otahs that mom say was yummy. I haven't tried it then but is skeptical about how awesome it is. Tasted it. Was awesome! It's fish meat, not flour filled. Bought like $40 worth of food there. Then drove down to my maternal grandmother house just to pass them the Otahs and left.
Back to daddy office cause he want to check on some stuff, went to Jurong East's SPC to top up the petrol. Does anyone like me love the smell of the convenience store it petroleum stations or am I just weird? Either way, down to paternal grandma house at Taman Jurong. My grandma has this huge collection of randoms stuff. From shampoos to single shots alcohol bottle, you name it, you can find it there. While my parents talk to her and my seventh uncle, I fell asleep on their sofa. Had a dream but don't remember what.
Went to the FairPrice downstairs to get some more groceries. The place was dull, reek of urine and filled with kids playing old childhood games like marbles and floorballs. I'm amazed by that sight. I mean, how often do you see kids now a days playing those old-school toys? All of the kids I see have at least an iPhone on their hands playing Angry Birds. I don't even play marbles (Go-li) when I was younger. It's amazing.
Headed home shortly after. Mom cooked dinner. I bathed and started typing stuff for her work (again). I wonder when will I eventually finish them. Hopefully soon. That's pretty much it for today! Tweet |
