Red Velvet Cupcakes Baking
Hello earthlings,
So this post kind of outdated. If you've been following me on Twitter or Instagram, you would have known that I went baking at Chun Jia's place last Saturday and so this would basically about it!
So I met Chun Jia bright and early in the morning at Jurong Point's FairPrice Xtra to get the ingredients needed for baking and I chose to bake a Red Velvet Cupcake following the recipe here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxUVwWg5t8s
So yep! Here we are at the hypermarket! Trying to get everything we need.
Basically everything we bought cause we already have most of our ingredients. Oh and I brought my own recyclable bag cause I am this environmentally friendly. (not) I brought eggs and red food coloring to Chun Jia's house but I apparently broke both of them on my way there. I posted this photo on Twitter and many were shocked thinking the egg really bleeds. HAHA. Sorry guys! Our ingredients! I made a gigantic mess at Chun Jia's place!
Measuring out all of the ingredients!
Yes, I did forget to buy something. Lucky Chun Jia lived very close to Giant Hypermarket so it's really convenient to grab anything. Hershey's Cocoa powder~ Measuring everything out. I'm taking my time with this and apparently at this stage, Chun Jia already finished baking her cake. ): Finally! I am able to start mixing everything out and start baking official!
Creaming the sugar and butter together.
Chun Jia's I don't know what. Adding my eggs to the batter. Was too lazy to grab the hand mixer cause it's too much of a burden to wash it so here is me doing it the manual style. K, if I ever get a boyfriend, he'll have to be my hand mixer. Cocoa Powder. Mixing in the red food coloring. I used two full bottles, yes that's a lot I know. Adding it to my batter. Ooh! Look at the beautiful magenta color! Me with maaaaa batter! Chun Jia's completed Vanilla cake with chocolate. It's pretty good! Ma red velvet cupcakes finally done! I baked the first few batches until I got lazy and Chun Jia finished the rest for me. It's like that every time. *guilty* Remember the egg with red color food coloring earlier on? We decided to fry it. Well, I ate it myself. Haha. My cupcakes topped with the chocolate ganache that Chun Jia made for her Vanilla cake. Chun Jia's cake with a sprinkle of icing sugar! Me with her cake! The baker herself! Oh, and Kayee dropped by later. So here's her with the cake too! I did the cream cheese frosting two days later at my own home and topped them with raspberries! With a sprinkle of Cocoa Powder. Completed. Decided to bring some cupcakes for my Poly clique. But I was late for my FYP group meeting so I ran with it and it became like that... So I threw them away. I was quite sad about it okay! )': So yep. That's basically my baking session. I have a lot of stuff I wanted to blog about cause I've been visiting so many nice food places and I want to share with you guys about it. But the term is ending and I'm really really busy so do stay with me this time! Until then, TA-TA! Tweet |
