Trust
How much trust did you have for friends you know for 6 months? How much do you have for your classmates? Today, I went to school to clarify some things with my lecturer about my Java assignment. She insisted I copied. But fact is I completed my assignment by asking this few boys from my class.

Despite not being able to change my marks and getting scolded by my lecturer, I never regretted going for the appointment today. Why? She told me, these few boys told her I forced them to show me their codes. When I only asked them for help. I'm not upset about her thinking that I copied but for my friends to say that.

Just because you are afraid that the lecturer penalized you, you said I forced you to let me copy? Is that even a fact, you know it inside you. Why am I so disappointed in them when they are only people I know for 6 months? What a wake up call to not trust people around you.

I wished I could go back to my secondary school life where you can simply trust someone with no strings attached. You guys showed me the ugly side of humanity, you taught me to guard yourself against everyone. I don't know why I'm so hurt by their move. You could have tell me you don't want to teach me, that's all.

Polytechnic? It's just the start. I'm sick and tired of it already. I'm really exhausted. Please, just take your masks off. I'm surprised how after you told the lecturer all that, you all can still talk to me like nothing happened, like I will never find out. I was wrong. It's not that I don't want to fit in. I can't, I really can't.

Update: I'm sorry, I shouldn't have blamed them. It's my fault.

Taiwan Trip
After ages and ages of procrastination I finally decided to finish blogging about my Taiwan trip which is week ago. Well, it took so long because blogger thought it's a good idea to keep giving me errors when I post photos and limit to 5 photos per upload. Grrr!

Let me start with travelling to Changi Airport. Since only 3 of us are travelling (My sister, my forth aunt and I), we decided to train over since my parents are working and didn't want to trouble them. I don't know why, we always get the stares in the train as if we did something wrong or there's a bomb in our luggage. Laughs.

Since the train station is at Terminal 2 and our flight is at Terminal 3, we have to take the skytrain over. It's the first time on the skytrain in years! Gosh! Nice control station view in from the skytrain. Off for our breakfast!!

Since our flight is at 12.20 pm, we're there early and we haven't had our breakfast, we decided to grab some early munchy at Ya Kun Kaya Toast with yummillicious bread and bitter coffee. Nice way to start a day! As each of us got a combo, we didn't manage to finish the entire thing. Next, after pestering them, we took off to the Butterfly Garden.

Butterfly Garden is a small room beside Cheers in Terminal 3 where they have loads of butterflies! It's so pretty! Then, I realized something. My sister is basically afraid of anything that moves. She screamed so loudly when butterflies fly around, so loud, that a huge group of butterflies fly away from where they rest. Oh, and that thing I was pointing at in one of photo is a butterfly that handed on my elbow. εїз

After roaming around Changi Airport, finally it's time to board the plane and we have to fill in this declaration and off we go!! We took a 5 hour flight there and 2 hour long bus ride and we finally reach our hotel where my aunt is a gold member of we manage to get a high level room and complimentary drinks.

Our hotel is W Hotels Taipei. They have great service. And awesome food, but I'll get to that later... The hotel receptionist briefly showed us around the hotel then we went up to our room. Our hotel is right smack above, bus interchange, train station and a mall completed with a departmental store.

Our hotel has great features like iPhone docks which is good since all of us are using iPhone. Complimentary macaroons are given and the place is gorgeous. Oh! And they even have automated toilet that we see in Japan too. But they have more buttons that that I saw from Japan considering my Japan trip was last year and technology change so fast. But!! Japan have automated toilet even in malls and public places but in Taiwan, only in our hotel room.

Since we haven't had our dinner, we decided to head do to the famous Shilin Night Market for some authentic Taiwan snacks.

Our first metro ride in Taiwan!! Look at the people behind us, they are queuing in two straight lines. So unlike Singapore train stations where people just squeeze in like if they miss the train they will never ever get home. Trains there are also very frequent and we will always still get a bit of private space no natter how busy or peak hour it is. No need to smell people's armpits! Oh! And the purple coin you see from the photo is their one way pass for the train. You basically tap when you go in, and throw the coin in their coin slot when you get out, it fascinated me for almost an hour.

Down at Shilin Night Market (士林夜市), there were many many people. A little like Singapore's Bugis street, but larger scale. Wider road, more people, more stalls and we are literally walking on car road. And something real cute! You can actually cross diagonally in cross junctions! Just when I was wondering why can't you cross diagonally in cross junctions in Singapore.

Singapore's Night Market (Pasar Malam) is basically nothing compared to Taiwan's Night Market. You find awesome Taiwan Snacks almost everywhere. But you also smell Stinky Tofu everywhere. Damn, it was bad. It literally smell like stool that has been there for a year. Gosh, my nose feels like it's falling off!

Just a note, if you're there, look where you're going. Lots of motorcycles zooming past despite the cluster of people. And! People dragging their stalls on wheels moving around. It's just so fun to watch.

Some of the must try food in Taiwan is definately their Fried chicken steak (炸雞排) and Oyster vermicelli (蚵仔麵線). Well, their Oyster omelet (蚵仔煎) is quite famous too but ain't as nice as I expected it to be. But the others really lived to to their name! Especially their fried chicken steak! Must try 碳烤雞排! It's really really good! I'm hungry already. ):

After having great snacks, we headed back to our hotel at 11 or so. Look what they have at their train station?! CUTE!! (inappropriate use of vocabulary).

Since we arrived to our Hotel at night, we didn't get much view, so it the morning, I'm surprised at how it looks outside the window and how high I am. But, it's really hazy there so you can't really see much.

On the second day, we headed to Ximending (西門町) which is also a very famous shopping district in Taiwan. There's really nothing that caught my eye. Their fashion mostly layered or over sized Tee. Look how huge their KFC is!! And I bought a cup of 四季春 which basically mean four seasons of summer. It's pretty good!

We got ourselves unlimited metro one day pass too. Good for tourist like us. Singapore needs too have this too.

Since our hotel is pretty near Taipei 101, (2 blocks down), we decided to walk over. Nothing much there, really. Actually wanted to go up for some view but it's really not worth the price and considering how hazy it is there, it's really not much to see. Thus, we headed back to our hotel.

Before we head back to our Hotel room, we headed to Cold Stone Creamery downstairs to have some Cookie Overload. Yummy!! That night we headed over to Shida Night Market (師大路夜市) to have some more Taiwan Snacks and shopping for clothes. But, I'm too lazy to carry my heavy-ass camera around so I left it in the hotel so no photos for that.

Headed to Kaohsiung (高雄) which is the southern part of Taiwan the next day. We took the High Speed Rail (高鐵), shorten HSR over. The trip is around 2 hour or so and we get to eat up there! But I spent most of the time sleeping, cause it's so tiring to travelling around gosh!! We trained over to Central Park (中央公園) which contains one of their largest shopping district there which stretches all the way to Shanduo Shopping District (三多商圈) which is a train station away.

Since there's nothing much there, we headed to Dreamland, one of the shopping malls there which has a huge Ferris wheel. Ain't much there though, besides, we're rushing to catch the HSR back to Taipei. Thus, we only had our lunch there, bought some gifts and off we go.

On our last night in Taipei, we head back to Shilin Night Market after my aunt realized that we missed a whole chunk of the place. There we satisfy our last cravings of Taiwan Snacks. ): ): But the size of our tummy is just this big and ain't enough space to fill much stuff. Left for Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at 11am on a taxi and flew back to Singapore. (P/s. LOOK AT THE GENEROUS AMOUNT OF MANGOES THEY GAVE ME!!)

Overall a really good trip and definitely want to be back again. So many places I want to be in, so many food I want to eat, so little time. ): For more pictures, click here. Until the next post, see ya!!
