Itacho Sushi + Blackball + Brotziel + Lennard's Graduation
Hello earth people!

So this would be the second post of the day. I'm so hardworking today. Just my posts have snowballed. Last week Xuan Kai was on his block leave. He was in the commando unit serving the nation, in case you don't already know. So yep, I met him after school to have dinner together just because I haven't seen him in ages!

I met him at Buona Vista where we then decided to have Itacho Sushi for dinner. It's not my first time having Itacho Sushi and I'm kind of fond of it, so here we go!

So Itacho Sushi has many many outlets and at Star Vista Itacho Sushi is located at the basement.

Same usual counter seat again! With perfect view of the chefs making my sushi!

It's quite small inside, that's why the groups with little guests gets the counter seats.

Me and Xuan Kai!

This is curry lobster if I am not wrong. Xuan Kai says it was quite good but I never tried it cause I'm scared of spicy food!

My Chawanmushi or 茶碗蒸し in Japanese. I love Chawanmushi so I might be bias but it's pretty good.

We shared a beef curry rice. Because Xuan Kai LOVEEEEEE curry. The beef was pretty yummy and overall was pretty good. But the serving is not that big, as you can see we can still stuff so much food after this bowl of rice.

I have no idea what is this. Spicy Salmon? It's Xuan Kai's!

My Unagi sushi, the Unagi slices they give is like thicker and fatter than other places so I quite like it!

They like to put everything you order in one plate, which kind of annoys me. So yeah, here we have Salmon with Soya Sauce, Roasted Squid Leg, Salmon Belly and Roasted Duck if I am not wrong. It's all pretty good but I LOVE the roasted duck and Salmon. The Salmon with Soya Sauce is on sale like $0.40 each, so you got to order it!

The pork sushi. I think it's quite special and quite good!

I love kani sushi. I can die for it. But this, they use like real crab for it. Don't know if I love all hate it, but I think it's nice, but I do miss the regular Sushi Tei style Kani Sushi! Xuan Kai's Egg Sushi looks pretty good, and the one at the far left is Xuan Kai's too and I have not the slightest idea what it is.

So overall, I think it's quite nice, that's why I visited them like the second time. I just don't like the fact that the sushi comes in one piece one piece and so I feel like I'm paying a lot of very little. The bill did end up to $60 which I guess was pretty decent considering we ate so much.

If I am not wrong they are a Hong Kong based Sushi place cause I saw them being the sponsor of some Hong Kong Drama but I could be wrong. I'm not sure how many outlets they have cause they don't really have a website as of now. But I saw outlets in JCube, Bugis Junction, ION Orchard and Plaza Singapura too! So yeah!

We then headed over to Blackball or 黑丸嫩仙草 (it means Blackball Tender Grass Jelly) located on the first floor of Star Vista cause I heard raving reviews from my friends so I decided to try it.\. When we went over there it's pretty dark cause they only have two really small tables inside and we had to sit outside. Both of us are perspiring like mad cause it was so warm!

The menu! You have to get the menu from the counter first cause there isn't really any other banner showing the menu. Think it's kind of waste paper cause after ordering I would throw away the menu anyway.

So we ordered the Blackball Signature cause we have not the slightest idea what to order. So this bowl costed me $4.90

Busy Xuan Kai is texting I don't know who!

So this is the outdoor sitting area, kind of reminds me of bars.

Yep, so you would be given creamer and pour all over your bowl of goodness. It taste kind of unique and weird and first but it's quite addictive, So the blackball is like bubble tea pearls and the rest is like chewy taro (yam) dough, sweet potato dough and red bean paste. Quite good I should say, after you overcome the weirdness. Definiately would have it again some day.

You can choose it either Hot, Warm, Cold or Iced. In our case it's Iced. You can also mix and match the ingredients according to the stuff you like. So I guess you will eventually find a way to eat it that you'll absolutely love. So yeah, give it a try! They have many outlets too!

So we impromtu called Jian Sen to join us and he was at Plaza Singapura, so we needed a place to sit and wait for him. Xuan Kai then brought me to the roof of Star Vista (which I have never been to before). It was a pretty nice place, quiet, cooling, nice view. Just that there are ants.

So it's a Monday night and we decided to go grab so drinks. Headed to Brotziet which is a German beer bar. The only alcoholic drinks they have here is beer, so if you're looking at those martini or margarita or cocktails, you can really go elsewhere.

So by the time we're here it's pretty late and they have closed their indoor seating area, so we settled for the outdoors which is pretty nice too.

I forgot what Jian Sen have but Xuan Kai and I both have Affensaft just that what he had is with mango juice while mine is with Banana Syrup. But you got to admit, my beer is pretty darn good. It's sweet and fragrant. Even the boys liked  it.

My beer. A really must try. Affensaft with Banana Syrup!

Nice little very detailed drink coaster.

Brotziet is available (besides Star Vista) at VivoCity, 313@Somerset and Raffle's Place. So it's quite convenient too. Suitable for a drink or two with your friends and chit chat about anything. Heard their German Pork Knuckle is pretty good too, but I haven't got a chance to try it. Next time!

A nice little group photo with the boys that day.

So to clear a little more of the snowballing posts, I'm going to blog about today! So I ran out of class mid way cause my sister and her cliques are in my school so I went to look for them.

Many many people there and it's quite hard squeezing through the pile of people that are trying to snap pictures everywhere.

So we (the girls) decide to take a photo and we got photobombed by Lennard! My sister got me to post on Facebook captioning it "My Cousins" I wonder how many of you believed it.

Me with sissy and Yii Mei.

With the graduating guy!

See I couldn't decide if Lenny the Magician or Nerd the Magician sounds better but here's his attempt of trying to make my clothes appear. ;)

Retarded Lennard and Aik Peng!

I stole Lennard's Robes! So guess I'm graduating one year before my classmates! I'm sorry about my flip flops (not).

The magician at work again.

Stiff and stern this time round.

Ma sis with the bear!

So cute! I want one too. ):

Me with the bear, they should totally make it bigger.

So that's it for the graduation! Later that day I tried the Taiwan Fried Chicken from this place called "Tastes of Taiwan" or Xi Men Ding cause I usually eat Shilin's and I decided to give it a try instead.

Store front.

My Ji Pa was a staggering $4 as compared to Shilin's $3.80 last time I checked (their price keeps increasing anyway).

It was quite okay, nothing special. But the oil taste is kind of strong. However, the waiting time is way shorter than Shilin's mainly because they already had it ready there. But I think it was quite okay nothing special nothing bad.

So yeah. That's basically it. I think there's too much information I'm bombarding you guys today about my life, guess my posts will start slowing down after I post all the outstanding posts so yeah!

Bye earthlings!
