Nando's + Chilli's + Paulaner Bräuhaus + Changi Village
Hi hi people! In case you didn't know, I turned 19 two days ago and my friends have spent a lot of effort celebrating it for me and all that they have done deserved a post of themselves so this post would be just an update of my life and a new post just about my birthday would come up soon enough after I'm back from South Korea! I'll be flying off tonight for a study/sourcing tour to Seoul with SP's School of Business (I'm from School of Digital Media Infocomm Technology). So yep, I reckon I should take some time to update my blog first before I fly off! So a few weeks back I got a surprise delivery from Chun Jia!! She baked some yummy cakes and shared some with me and our clique! So one day, I met Xuan Kai, Jian Sen and Yong Xiang for some dinner and we headed to Nandos for some Peri Peri Chicken! I got the salad because I was on diet (not). It was a relatively big serving and got be quite full! Mild was an acceptable spicy level for me but you can choose. I tried Jian Sen's Extreme and I nearly died. (Note, I'm weak at spicy food). But the salad was pretty good. Yep so we did shop around. So they have this promotion going on for quite some time where they have one-for-one drinks that made it quite affordable. So it was Thursday, Cocktail day! We also ordered a Bottomless Nacho with it. BUT there is something I was to complain about. After each refill, the sauce for the Nacho become more and more dilluted, disgusting, gross, weird. I mean you shouldn't charge $12 for chips and claim it bottomless if you are gonna give us shit after the first one. And I'm not sure why but there are also an excess of salt which makes it damn awful to eat after a few refills. Never gonna order that shit again. Jian Sen and Yong Xiang got Sea Breeze. While Xuan Kai and I got strawberry Mojito, which all four of us agree is better than sea breeze. Then we headed back to Jurong Point for some mid night "The Conjuring"! (Note: It was lunar 7th month) HAHAA. The next day I headed to Paulaner Bräuhaus located at Millenia Walk to celebrate Yii Mei's Birthday. So there is this complementary German Bread that comes with butter and this tuna like I DON'T KNOW WHAT. The bread texture is a bit harder than usual bread, not something most of is like. What's going to a brewery without a huge cup of beer?! After which we headed to Harry's at Esplanade for some final drinks for that day. Choco-Mintini which tasted like Baileys to me. Jägerbomb, one of my favorite drinks. Flaming Lamborghini
Some other photos taken that day.
Back at JEM, I finally tried the many raved Royal Pudding. We ordered take away so it was packed nicely with ice pack and insulated bag. So we tried original, mango and strawberry (They didn't have caramel that day) Original is the best and cheapest of the three. Mango and strawberry was a little sour for me. The texture is quite nice but $4 for so little pudding is a bit chor and we didn't know what to do with the jar after which. Maybe changing the packing and decreasing the cost would be better? Me with the boys. Had a long day so here's me with ridiculously messy hair. Back at Chilli's for 1-for-1. This time, we had beer! Sorry for the face spam you have to endure now. We had Cheese Fries which is quite YUMMMMMM! We caught another midnight movie that day "The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones" and I was cold so Xuan Kai went home to grab me a hoodie, which explains the ACJC hoodie. HAHAHA. Then we had some time before the movie starts and everything else in Jurong Point was closed so we end up window shopping at FairPrice Xtra! So the day after Xuan Kai have to go back to his Commando Camp located in Changi so I headed over to the east with him where we then munch in the foodie goodness at Changi Village! $8 plate of Hokkien Prawn Mee. I like how the noodle is still chewy and yummmmm! Black Cai Tao Kueyyyy! Hui Juan the messy eater, with all the food dropping everywhere. The godly BBQ chicken wings! You have to enjoy it hot. It's really damn nice with the tender chicken inside!! Then Xuan Kai got me to try this Red Tea Jelly with Longan also known more affectionately as COMMANDO DESSERT. (Yes, you order to the auntie by saying "Commando Dessert") Despite the boring exterior... WAHHHHHHH. YUMMMMM. After which, nearby we got more fooooooooooooooooooood! Custard Bun!! Look at that flowy salted egg goodness!! ERRRRMAGAWWWWD! Xuan Kai decided to kill me further with more food! Chocolate Lava from Chocolate Origin just beside it. It's hot molten lava chocolate cake on top and ice cream below. A hot and cold goodness! Over stuffed face and end of fatty adventures! Yep and that's all I'm gonna update today. I'm sorry about how most of the posts are pretty brief lately. I promise it'll be more in-depth next time. HAHA OK LA I'M STARTING TO WHINE AGAIN. That's it people. TATA! Tweet |
