Sync Korean Fusion Bistro
#03-01 Westgate
3 Gateway Drive
Singapore 608532

Located in a corner of the newly opened Westgate is this Korean Fusion Bar that I've been wanting to try since I saw Mavis' posting about her visit on her instagram a few week back. Since I'm back, I decided to meet with her and head to this place for some drinks and chill.

Pretty lights and it's relatively empty. I'm guess that it's because it's a Monday evening.

Screw Driver Pop: Run with orange popsicle.
The popsicle melted relatively quickly (which I totally blamed the weather for) but I think it's pretty good.

Red Winter: Soju, mint leaves, lemon, watermelon.
I absolutely love this drink. Lightly fragrant and not too sweet, just as I like it.

Raspberry Soju Tini: Soju, lemon juice, raspberries.
I think this is pretty good too but it's a little too sweet for me.

Kimchi Cheese Fries: Fries tossed in kimchi, nacho cheese sauce, scallions.
A pretty special combo but it's quite good too. But I personally don't feel that the flavours fused together that much but quite nice nonetheless.

Yeah, so I think this is a good place to slack, chill and hangout especially since it's not busy and they have a pretty good ambience (some music would be better too). We sat at the outdoor seating and it's still relatively cooling that day. However they need to work on the service like how they forgot to give us forks and paper towels for our fries and how using the Samsung tablet to order still requires staff authorization and I would have to personally walk to one of the staff or keep trying to get a staff's attention (we're the only ones seating outside so there isn't a staff nearby most of the time). Good place nonetheless.

And the girl that I was there for. Haven't seen her in a long long long time!

Branch is pretty much like a bar place. However you can order entrees from the menu of Purple Parrot which is also the restaurant of the same owner and desserts from the rest of the connecting restaurants because all the restaurants basically have the same kitchen (if I'm not wrong).

Let's start with cocktails first. they serve pretty darn good cocktails and I've tried a fair few. So here are all those that I've tried. (No, I'm not alcoholic. LOL.)

Lemon Basil Martini

Starwberry Margarita (Front) & Blackberry Margarita (Back)

Pineapple Martini

Nine Pound Hammer: Bourbon, Lemon, Vanilla, Coffee-Infused Cynar, Cinnamon.

Left Banke: Elderflower, Lemon, Peychaud's Bitters, Sparkling White Wine.

Tombstone Shadow: Applejack, Honey, Lemon, Punt e Mes, Blackberry, Soda.

Lots Of Ins, Lots Of Outs: Bourbon, Cherry Herring, Angostura Bitters, Falernum.

and lastly my favorite!

Necessary Means: Rum, Grapefruit, Lemon, Curacao, Cinnamon, Cherry Heering.

They also have small plates to go with your drinks. Here are some that I've tried and loved. I unfortunately didn't take photo of the Bacon Roasted Nuts which was pretty good too.

They serve pretty darn good Truffle Fries!

Yellowfin Nachos: Tuna, Cilantro, Avocado.

Below was the picture of the same thing I had one month ago. I guess they changed the presentation of dish.

Oysters On The Half Shell: Half Dozen, Raw.

Next is entrees that I have tried. HAHA Sorry I eat a lot.

Chappapeela Farms Pork: braised pork shoulder, barley risotto, kale, cipollini onions, Hop Ruiter-fines herbes reduction.

Le Québécois Veal: veal chop, sweetbreads, argula, oyster mushrooms, sunchoke, brown butter.

How can you end a meal without desserts?

Hot Buttered Pecan Pie. This, is godly.

Death by Chocolate. Yes, this really kills.

On a side bonus, this place have a special "Fried Chicken Wednesday" for lunch. Why only Wednesday? Because of how much work that goes into their fried chicken. So according to their Facebook, they brined the chicken in Sweet Tea on Monday, Buttermilk on Tuesday and fried it on Wednesday. So they basically have limited sets and are sold out pretty quickly cause it's really so godly!

So yeah. Very good place and must go if you ever come visit Hattiesburg because of the good food and the large menu due to it's connecting restaurants. Recommend!
